WOW, glad to see you back!
« on: November 15, 2020, 02:31:17 AM »
I'm glad you reopened the board K. I hope Covid was not to hard on anyone here. I hope everyone checks back in and sees you started it back up. The season is coming and this goofy year is leaving soon!

Good to see the board back up and running.
Well so far for my age group the 99.95% general survival odds and 98.9 % of positives odds are still with me. :beer2:
Hope all is well with everyone with big dreams of a long, deep Winter.

It has been tough being couped up since March and not being able to meet with friends. Our YMCA shutdown for go, so started going on long walks. Have lost about 50 pounds this year from walking over 5 miles per day and watching what I eat.

Thanks for not giving up and continuing to check back!  I hope everyone is doing well!  This "new normal" really sucks and is by no means normal!  ;)

RD turned up on a site I visit these days that was spawned from a sled site and it made me wonder if this place was still kicking.  Surprised I remembered my login!  Hope everyone is doing well!  I miss the old days.  Haven't swung a leg over a sled since around 2013 or so.  I sold my RMK in 2017 but it sat unused for a couple seasons.  I live in Arizona now and waterski year round instead to get my fix... but I'll always miss sledding.

Turns out I still have moderator privileges here too, so if that snopork is still around and getting into any trouble, give me a holler!

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Still pretty brown near the tip of Lake Superior.
At least some things are freezing which is nice compared to last years pain in the arse.

Wow! Surprise, Surprise!
Hi all and Happy New Year!
I haven't tried to check in for quite a few months and was contemplating deleting the bookmark and was quite surprised the site came up!

Hope all are well!

I understand the dilemma. Correct spelling takes time that could be spent licking the windows on the short bus.

I know you gave up sleds a while back, and stayed with adventure bikes. Summer of 19 I bought this, over near Detroit. Going back to my cycle roots. Sold the Harley back in September.

In 1981 I bought a 1980 Suzuki GS850G (driveshaft bike) It had a huge tank and Lynn and I would go all over on it. I dubbed it my "Japanese BMW" I always though I would like to find another one and one popped up for sale less than 10 miles away so I figured WTH...
I have cleaned it up, rebuilt the carbs and calipers and reinstalled the original air box.
I buddy of mine I used to ride with when I had the Suzuki had a KZ1000 as well.

Sorry I cannot post a photo... no matter how small I resize it it tells me the file is too large...

RD, Nice! Is it a 78? One of my best friends in school had a 78 just like it. I bought a new 79 Suzuki GS1000 when I was a senior. I just sold it about 5 years ago. Hadn't been rode in over 25 years. Should have kept it. :banghead:
