Title: Set up for Powder Snow
Post by: Ted on February 22, 2010, 12:13:33 PM
I am new to snowmobiling.  I bought a 2009 Skidoo Summit 600 Etec.  Someone told me that I could remove a linkage that keeps the skis level together.  This would allow the skis to work independently and improve the handling in the powder.  Does anyone know what this linkage is called and if this is a good idea?

Thanks

Sounds like you have a quick disconnect on your front stabilizer (sway) bar.  It is a bar that goes across the bottom of the sled and ties the 2 spindles together.  You can remove the linkage from one side typically but am not sure how your sled is.
