Vilas County
« on: February 21, 2017, 01:18:18 PM »
Vilas County trails could remain open until midnight March 31st. However, we are on almost a week of above 32 temperatures and yesterday/last night received between 1/2 to 1 inch of rain. The forecast is calling for 50 today and tomorrow. So for now, they are still technically "open" but not really rideable. They could be closed any day now.  There has been 5 to 8 inches of snow forecasted for Friday, altough some forecasters are saying it could track south. While 5 to 8 "sounds great" - on top of a base that is gone in too many spots - that is not much. Even worse yet - the forecast is for middle to upper 30s next week and a lot of evil sun.

Stay tuned!
