big snow
« on: February 14, 2017, 12:55:05 PM »
2 nor' easters here in a week.   2' on ground in southern areas, 3' or more in north.  a few more inches coming tomorrow. If we get another big storm I'm about out of room to plow the bankings.   :snow: :snow:  You mid state guys getting any?

Three golf driving ranges are open for business around here in Minnesota.

The media announced today that one of the Minneapolis golf courses will open tomorrow. Cars and trucks are falling through the ice on area lakes. High up to 60 next week. Crazy weather.

I had to give up one of my favorites. I'm going to miss this one.  I'm pretty sure it is one of, if not the, nicest one in existence.  Thinning the heard.   :glare:

I always liked the looks of the Catillac's. The later AWS version 440 liquid was the sharpest.

RD, have you been riding ?
Seems like I keep waiting for better conditions and they haven't really came yet, with only two weeks left in the season......  :banghead:

I was in Vilas  the week between Xmas and new years. Again the last weekend of  of January and first week of Feb. Ayxs went down with a bottom chaincase bearing failure  feb 4th. Still waiting to hear from dealer if 4 year warranty will cover. I missed some good riding in January and this past week due to grandpa commitments. Well worth it though. 2 weeks? Hopefully the bitch will return us to winter and have a good March!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the motor. I think we've all experienced that failure at some point.... Just curious, how many miles on that motor when it went and what oil are your running ?

Grandpa commitments are very rewarding, I'm sure.
I've missed a tremendous amount of sledding due to youth hockey. Although, I have to say, my riding buddies have been pretty damn cool waking up at 4am to leave early so that I can make a game here or there. We always seem to make something work out.... This year has been pretty dismal as far as snow cover.... That never helps the situation....

GB, a little rereading is in order. Chaincase bearing not motor. Just talked with dealer. New chaincase and associated parts.  This is one one of those glued on/bonded on chaincase. All on Polaris due to 4 year warranty.

It hasn't been a record year but riding has been good.  Pic from Friday.
Just a typical snowmobiler...

To make the season  shorter I heard the wisconsin trails are closing early this year.   March 8th or the 10th - something like that.

8-12" forecast in the 10 day. Too little too late....
Still hoping for one last ride...  :snow:

2nd super thaw of 2017 is upon us now.  Lost half of snow in 2 days.  Southern lost 3/4 of it. Don't think its gonna make it to weekend.
