'90 Arctic Cat Panther 440
« on: March 15, 2010, 11:21:29 PM »
Sled is a very nice oldie 2up for kid & wife to learn on.  929 miles on it. Stored inside. all is very good except for broken plastic hand grabs for rear passenger. Sadly, no cover.
seemed to have a clutching issue & belt is shot. Noticed right off that someone messed with the driven clutch & did not put it back on correctly. the spacers & washers were not all correct per the diagram on babbits. I first need help with the correct offset. once i have that i can get spacers @ the local machine shop. Then i need help with the sizes of the several washers and the bolt the bolt that holds it all in place to be sure i have the right stuff. Some of what was there was not right and the  driven was able to move from side to side on the shaft the width of at least one spacer or more.
Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a great sled. Driven clutches are pretty easy to deal with. A dealer can give you the offset distances.

Pictures would be VERY helpful.

There are a few around, i hope they can give me info & not just suggest i buy the offset tool. I'm sue i could bring in the clutch & parts i have & they could check them against what i should have & sell me what i need.
