:thumbsupsmileyanim: Being happy at work is top of the priority list. I'd say it's a toss up whether dealing with the people or the metal stuff is more difficult....  At least the cars don't argue.

Anybody that turns down business flat like that is either making too much $ to care, or needs a new line of work.  There's lots of ways to diplomatically say "it'll be a little while before we can accommodate you".

Meltdown #2 is here. Mid-40s and sunny Saturday, low 40s Sunday with the same for today. Rain tonight and tomorrow, with only a brief drop back into the teens late week, and up into the 40s for next weekend. This one's gonna be a long one I think.

We're just back to rideable trails in most places here in CNY, after the nuclear meltdown a week ago killed the great base we had going. 2 1/2 weeks of below zero wasn't enough to overcome Thursday's 40s and Friday's 60s.  :banghead:
-12 this morning, but 40s and some rain for Sunday and early next week will put us back to start again.  I hate winter......

Time again to go take a rip on my old school dragger...

AJ, sweet old iron! You're a pro at bringing them back to mint condition. I pulled this out of the bush last night, ran when parked I'm told...
My old eyes can't tell- is that a 5000?  :specool:

RIV ='s Rob in Vermont? Sounds familiar Andy. I don't think it was here though. Trail Conditions? Maybe. Wasn't that the Sterner guys site?

Yep... A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...
Those were the days of Moonie, Rippen ZR, and a whole bunch of others I can't remember at the moment. If I recall, I joined Trail Conditions around '96...... almost 22 freaking years ago!   What a long strange trip it's been.

Watched it once, quite a while ago- didn't find it humorous.

I have been thinking about buying new boots for the last several years. But my 10 year old Trukkes just keep trucking on!
My RUOutsides are at least 12 years old, probably more like 15, and the sole split in half 2 winters ago. Not so they have a gaping hole, just the rubber is cracked all the way across, and on the toes too.
The wife says "Just wear some bread bags with them!"  :banghead:
Bread bags?  Buy her an RU outside thong and get some boots dude.
Too much chafing!   I ended up getting a pair of Kamik's with removable liners. They're not much different from my old boots, but way lighter! If they last half as long I'll be happy.

Looking at new snow sneakers. I've always had boots with removable liners, like Kamiks or Sorels, but lately I've been looking at more of a hiking boot style with out removable liners (lighter, less clunky to walk around).
Thoughts?

I would like to downsize too. I have a 1976 Arctic Cat Cheetah that I want to get rid of. It has been sitting unused in my garage since 1993.

You better get a hold of David. Isn't he the cat collector here? Or is it 2qik
There were two old AC cheetahs at our club swap meet last year. They were both in running condition and couldn't get anybody to buy any of them for $200.
Same way here. Even very nice old iron is a tough sell for low 3 figures. Sleds just don't follow the same path as vintage cars or even antiques in general. I guess that's good if you're buying!

I made a deal with both of them. If either or both get a free ride due to their sports I will buy them a new car at graduation

Greek that's a bad deal as it places emphasis on athletics instead of academics.  Re-negotiate that deal to be you'll co-sign a car loan if they get a free ride due to good grades.  If you still want to give them something, forgive the car loan when they graduate from college.

-2qik
Yup. Just IMO of course. Sports are a dead end. Most people overestimate their chances- 1 in a million make it to a financially lucrative position, and then it's a huge longshot they last more than a couple years. Brains will get you to retirement age.

3rd try to post, keeps losing it somewhere.......

I check in once a week or so, not enough traffic to check more. FB and Tweety are killing chat boards.

Haven't put more than 100-150 miles/season on for 8-9 years. Just no time. At least that way I won't have to replace my old 02ZR8CC soon. With crappy winters and the abso-frickin-crazy prices, I'm moderately ok with that.

Sold our camper in July. Our 2 old Honda ATV's keep my boy busy out back in the low-snow times. Once in a great while we get an actual ride in. I keep the wife's 08F6 at home and my ZR at the shop, so I have something to ride wherever I am.
